A Graphical Representation of sl(2)

Student-Run Applied & Math Seminar

Speaker: Stephen Ng, UC Davis
Location: 2112 MSB
Start time: Wed, Jan 28 2009, 12:10PM

We introduce the representation theory of sl(2) and examine basic properties of its algebra of intertwiners, the Temperley-Lieb algebra. As an application, we demonstrate the graphical calculation of the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients.
