Nash equilibrium for discontinuous games

In this talks I will introduce Reny's theorem thatshows the existence of an equilibrium of pure strategies for best reply secure games. This recent result of Reny's is hailed as '' the biggest breakthrough in game theory since Nash''. I will also show some generalizations of Reny's result to abstract economies that I obtained with Professor Alejandro Jofre from the Universidad de Chile
