Tasia will give an AMAZING talk about mixing times for Markov Chains. She will introduce the topic, discuss why mixing times are so important and interesting, and if she has time, solve an open problem at the board. One of the problems she might talk about relates to the 15 Puzzle - the one with 15 sliding tiles and one empty space. Come by and check it out - there might even be pizza (with probability 1). -David S.
