Data Analysis for Neurophysiological Experiments

Student-Run Research Seminar

Speaker: Anne Smith, UC Davis Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine
Location: 2112 MSB
Start time: Wed, Mar 10 2010, 12:10PM

Increasingly during experiments the neurophysiologist is presented with the challenge of analyzing a large quantity of data from multiple sources and from a system which is changing with time. Statistical time series models and probability methods can be employed to understand this data. Using as examples response data from awake behaving subjects and neural spike data from sleeping rats, I will compare both statistical models and probability methods as analysis techniques.
