Abstract: It is well known that the Ricci flow was an essential ingredient in the resolution of the Poincare conjecture. There remain many interesting questions about the flow, especially regarding its behavior in higher dimensions and on noncompact manifolds. In this talk I will discuss my recent work studying the Ricci flow starting at an asymptotically hyperbolic metric.
