Canonical and dual canonical bases in the Hecke algebra

I will give a computation oriented review of canonical (= Kazhdan-Lusztig) and dual canonical bases in the Hecke algebra. I will give a solution to the problem of computing transition matrices between canonical and dual canonical bases. Time permitting I will say something about the representation theoretic/geometric significance of the latter result.
