In pursuit of alternating sign matrix bijections

In this talk, I will show progress on the problem of finding an explicit bijection between alternating sign matrices, descending plane partitions, and totally symmetric self-complementary plane partitions by giving a solution in the special case of permutations. I'll also talk about some unexpected discoveries I've made along the way.
