Introduction to Cluster Algebras

In this talk, I will introduce the theory of cluster algebras, with special emphasis on the case of rank two and cluster algebras associated to polygons. In addition to leading to various combinatorial questions, the latter are can also be described in terms of type A root systems or as a realization of the coordinate ring of the Grassmannian. No prior exposure to cluster algebras will be assumed.
