Energy gap in quantum mechanics: double well potential

Exploring the Schroedinger equation the locally accurate wave function of the ground (and the first excited) states will be constructed for 1D double well potential for weak, intermediate and strong coupling. Possibly a 3D example of hydrogen molecular ion will be considered briefly.
