The Kapustin-Witten equations with Nahm pole boundary conditions

Mathematical Physics Seminar

Speaker: Rafe Mazzeo, Stanford
Location: Physics 432
Start time: Thu, Oct 15 2015, 3:10PM

The relatively new gauge-theoretic Kapustin-Witten equations on four- and five-manifolds have been proposed by Witten as a means to obtain knot invariants of three-manifolds. The analytic underpinnings of this theory are still in their beginning stages. I will describe the overall scheme and explain the analytic issues which are in the process of being resolved.

Note this seminar is in the physics building.
