Natural populations interact with one another forming communities of coexisting species. In my dissertation, I aim to understand how populations are able to coexist and what factors influence how they persist. In this talk, I will present a general model that describes interacting populations and give an introduction to the tools in dynamical systems we use to understand persistence.
