We study the incompressible free boundary Euler equations with surface tension in three spatial dimensions. After establishing local well-posedness of the equations, we show that, under natural hypotheses, solutions are near those of the Euler equations in a fixed domain if the surface tension is sufficiently large. This is a joint work with David Ebin.
