From ABC to XYZ, or Addition versus Multiplication

We consider the integers and ask the question:Does addition get along with multiplication?" We view this question from the perspectives of:
(1) Logic and computational complexity theory,
(2) Measure theory and ergodic theory,
(3) Diophantine problems (additive number theory),
including the ABC Conjecture and XYZ Conjecture.
Refreshments will be served before the colloquium.
