Exact WKB analysis and spectral networks

Mathematical Physics Seminar

Speaker: Kohei Iwaki, Nagoya University and the University of Toronto
Location: 2112 MSB
Start time: Thu, Apr 14 2016, 3:10PM

Spectral networks are networks of trajectories on Riemann surfaces obeying certain local rules. This notion was introduced by Gaiotto-Moore-Neitzke in their study of BPS spectrum of four-dimensional field theories. In this talk I’ll show that the same networks appear in the exact WKB analysis as the Stokes graphs of differential equations with a small parameter.

I’ll also discuss about a relation between Gaiotto-Moore-Neitzke’s nonabelianzation and the Stokes phenomenon for WKB solutions.

There will be a seminar dinner in honor of the speaker.
