This is a joint work with A. Oblomkov. Following the ideas of Khovanov-Thomas and Riche-Bezrukavnikov, we construct a homomorphism from the braid group to a monoidal category of matrix factorizations over the product of flag varieties. An application of the trace functor to a matrix factorization yields homology, which categorifies the HOMFLY-PT polynomial of the closure of the braid.
