Boundary Chiral Algebras for 3d N=4 Theories

I'll review classical field theory in the BV formalism, explain how to calculate classical boundary field theories in these terms (joint with Philsang Yoo), and derive the chiral algebras describing some boundary field theories for twists of 3d N=4 gauge theories (joint with Costello and Gaiotto). Time permitting, I'll outline some applications of the construction.
