Essential concepts and theory of wavelets and wavelet algorithms will be reviewed within the context of the author’s work on the WavBox Software Library and FirWav Filter Library. Filters and algorithms new for the most recent 6.0 alpha versions of these libraries will be demonstrated. Applications to medical imaging will be discussed, especially, recent work on co-registration algorithms for PET and MRI brain scans.
This is a special applied math seminar at non-regular time due to the schedule of the speaker.
