Parabolic Geometry and Physics

Parabolic geometries are ubiquitous in physics playing fundamental roles in theories ranging from general relativity to quantum mechanics. There exists a powerful and universal calculus for handling these geometries known as tractor calculus. This talk will give a survey of these ideas and the types of problems that can be solved using them.
