For all of their tremendous utility, one of the great difficulties of asymptotic methods is the bookkeeping necessary for the results to be correct, often consuming a great deal of time. This will be an introduction to Sympy, a computer algebra system that has many uses, but with a particular focus on using it as a bookkeeping tool for asymptotic analysis.
