Generalization of chordality from graphs to simplices.

Student-Run Research Seminar

Speaker: Elysée Wilson-Egolf, UC Davis
Location: 2112 MSB
Start time: Wed, Mar 8 2023, 1:00PM

A chordal graph is one in which every cycle of length at least four has a chord. In this expository talk we begin with Parks' 2013 work on clique complex homology, which develops a combinatorial invariant for chordal graphs. We continue with a paper by Adiprasito, Nevo, and Samper (2016) which extends the notion of chordality to simplicial complexes.
