Two reservoirs of quantum fermionic particles are brought into contact by means of a local interaction. We study the flows of energy and particles from one reservoir to the other. A perturbative expression allows to characterize these flows, and to compare them with the predictions of Thermodynamics. In particular, we establish that the entropy production is strictly positive.
