Description
In 1965 the following problem was raised: "Is it possible to divide a
square into an odd number of triangles of equal areas." It was solved in
1970. In the 1990's several generalizations were obtained.
In my April 18 talk I will develop the algebraic and topological machinery
used in the solutions. On April 25 I will describe some recent results
related to the newest question, called "The Mother of All Conjectures"
(on dividing polygons into triangles of equal areas.)
Continues April 25th.
