As Mathematics of Operations Research (MOR) celebrates its 50th anniversary, the journal's senior editors have compiled a list of 50 papers, each representing one of the years of the journal's existence. For the year 2006, they have chosen the paper "Integer Polynomial Optimization in Fixed Dimension" by JA De Loera, R Hemmecke (a VRAP at UC Davis around that time), M Köppe, and R Weismantel. Congratulations to Jesus and Matthias for being thus honored! From the more distant past, another publication deserves to be mentioned: "Scenarios and Policy Aggregation in Optimization Under Uncertainty" by RT Rockafellar, RJ-B Wets was chosen for the year 1991!
