We congratulate him for the outstanding achievements that channeled him into this class. His work in mathematics is paralleled by his remarkable service to the community. Ravi Vakil, the current president of the AMS, says "I am proud to welcome the 2027 Class of AMS Fellows and congratulate them for their outstanding achievements in the mathematical sciences. This year's class was selected from an impressive group of nominees. Each of our Fellows embodies excellence; together this class shows the many ways that mathematics invigorates human thinking and research. I congratulate each new Fellow on their achievements and look forward to watching the ways in which they will take mathematics further."
