The topology of affine complex manifolds

In this talk, I will discuss complex manifolds defined by polynomial equations over the complex numbers. I shall explain how to understand their topology and complex structures, up to deformation. In the process, we will discuss examples, understand how to draw affine complex manifolds and list useful applications.
