Abstract: I will introduce Legendrian knots in the 3-sphere and explain their relevance in geometry and topology. In particular, I will be drawing several pictures in 3- and 4-dimensions. During the talk, I shall also present interesting questions and motivating conjectures that I believe are presently within reach.
